The Story of BowWOWnies®

BowWOWnies® were created to help fulfill my dream of turning a Labrador puppy, Duchess, into a mission ready search and rescue dog. When Duchess first entered my life, I wasn't prepared for a dog with quite so much enthusiasm and energy. Getting and keeping her attention was a monumental undertaking.

I tried all sorts of treats, but there weren’t any available that offered high quality ingredients and a taste so irresistible that they were effective for training. I realized there was nothing on the market that contained everything I needed, so I set out to create the ultimate treat: all-natural, human grade ingredients, and a taste that dogs would do anything for.

Dogs are crazy for BowWOWnies® and choose them over hot dogs, meatballs, cheese and other less nutritious treat options. Each bag contains over a pound and a half of liver, which is an excellent source of digestible protein. From the moment you open the bag, you will have your dog's complete attention.

Now animal hospitals use them to help with fearful patients, top trainers use them to motivate their dogs in the show ring and in the field and with the help of BowWOWnies® and Jack Fields of K9 Development, Duchess became a certified search and rescue dog in 2004.

Duchess died tragically in October 2005, but her legacy lives on. In February 2006 the torch was passed to a yellow lab puppy named Zulu.

Zulu has proven herself quite a bit easier to train than her predecessor and became a certified search and rescue dog with California Rescue Dog Association on June 2, 2007. BowWOWnies were instrumental in Zulu's progress and continues to be an important part of our training regimen.

Whether training a dog or just showing your love BowWOWnies® are the nutritious treats dogs prefer!

A portion of the proceeds from the sale of BowWOWnies® will be donated to search and rescue organizations
